About the Department of Political Science

Department of Political Science of Shishuram Das College was established in the 2012 with General Course. Honours course was introduced in 2018. The syllabus covers different aspects of Political Science like Political theory, International relations, Political sociology, Political movements, administration etc. The faculty members of the department of Political Science are always proposing for new developments beside the written syllabus. The topics being discussed ranges from current political affairs in India and the world. To make the all-round development of the students we have organized inter disciplinary classes, tutorial classes, student seminars, group discussions, debates, workshops, extension lectures etc. The initiative makes the curriculum more acceptable and the students can get a broader perspective of the current socio-political scenario. The students of our department have been preparing and displaying the annual wall magazine.

• Three-year B.A. Multi-Disciplinary Courses; Political Science as a Major.
