About the Department of History

The journey of the department of History started in 2010 with General Course from the inception of the college. In 2013 Honours course was introduced. Right from the beginning there is a great demand for this subject among the local students. The department has shown a considerable improvement in course of time. The aim of the department is to enable the students acquire knowledge from books, field work, workshop, excursion, seminar, webinar etc. The department also organizes memorial lectures and extension lectures. Besides, students are taken to different historical places for educational tours for the development of their intellectual faculty, physical agility and social skills. The students are very enthusiastic in co-curricular activities like quizzes, and debates. The academic condition in terms of quality of the faculty and learning-transfer process is healthy and adequate. Through all these activities we hope that our students will be highly motivated in building a very successful and prosperous future.

• Three-year B.A. Multi-Disciplinary Courses; History as a Major.
